Early in 2008 the mex2go brand was reborn with new owners and a vision of creating a new and exciting option for the takeaway food lover. 2009 saw the opening of the new flagship mex2go outlet in brand new premises in the Southside of Glasgow.

The mex2go philosophy

The takeaway market is awash with pizzas, burgers, chicken and deep-fried fish and chips and we believe that there is a need for an alternative taste and a healthier option.

The mex2go philosophy is to provide our customers with high quality Mexican food and to educate consumers in the wide variety of Mexican dishes available.

Mexican and Ethnic Foods are becoming increasingly popular however, there is a widespread opinion that Mexican food is “too spicy” or “too different”:

• “too spicy” – one of the best things about Mexican food is that the main ingredients used allow you to easily flavour and spice your dish to suit your own taste and preference; a dish can be spiced up by simply adding some hot salsa and some jalapeno chillies or equally can be cooled by adding some sour cream and lettuce.
• “too different” – it is only different if you don’t give it a try, who knows, you may even like it. Our “Put Simply.......” page explains the different dishes we offer and our “How To........” page explains how you put together our DIY dishes.

The brand has been specifically designed to appeal to everyone whether you are a Mexican food lover or a Mexican food novice. The brand has also been designed to allow for future expansion through franchising and we are fully committed to furthering our philosophy in the future.
